   First Technology originated from Schmidt Electornics' business unit that dealt with equipments for PCB assmebly. Schmidt was the first leading dealer of the now famous chip mounter from FUJI electronics, and has been active in the Chinese electronic industory since its genesis. Diverged from Schmidt in 2006, First Technology inherits over 40 years of experience and skills, consistently contributing to the Chinese electronics market.

Connection with Leica

   Schmidt Electronics was founded by Paul Schmidt all the way back in 1896. He is supposed to be also the first person to introduce Leica's 35mm film camera and Roentgen(X-rays, Radiography) to Japan. Its sharp radar for opportunities made Schmidt & Co. move to Beijing (1911) and Hong Kong (1931) later on, building close connections with the Chinese market before its rapid development.

Origin of Electronics industry？

CP2/3 pick'n place machine from FUJI company    Barrage of reforms since 1990 rapidly accelerated China's economic growth, attracting US/European and Japanese companies to ShenZhen.
   During this period of genesis, Schmidt greatly contributed to the formation of electronics industry by introducing the famous CP2/3 pick'n place machine from FUJI company.
   As a company that had histrical indirect connection to China, First Technology was acquired by Sojitz, a Japanese general business corporation in January 2007. Since then, First Technology has further enhanced its strength as 100% subsidiary of Sojitz.

   January 21st 2022, to further adapt to the rapidly changing Chinese market, First Technology has conducted a MBO to obtain a more agile management. A strong core for its management method, distribution, sales, and service that have been developed under Sojitz remains the same. First Technology will continue to enhance its strength and play an important role in China’s electronics industry.
